Entry form

  • In order to submit an entry you must be a current member of ANSA. Membership can be applied for via the join ANSA page in the 'about us' section of our website.
    Which of the media-type categories best suits your work?
  • A brief description (<100 words) of what the work depicts. This should include: The year/s the work was created. Places depicted and cultural or social groups involved in the making. The actions, events, or themes depicted. The names (if appropriate) of any collaborators. Any additional information
  • A brief exegesis (<500 words) on how the process of creating or filming contributed to your anthropological understanding of the life-worlds or themes under investigation. You may consider: What themes emerged through the creation? How does the creative practice relate to your broader research? What aspect of the “Imponderabilia of everyday life” does this creative work and the practice of creating it bring to light? In what ways? How did the methodology influence the production of the creative work? How did the methodology influence the production of anthropological knowledge?
  • Please upload your submission here. You may upload one file, or multiple files that are part of the same visual series. Most standard file types including jpg, mp4, png and pdf are allowed plus their variants (max. 10). Maximum file size is 100MB and 1800x1800px due to server limits. If your work exceeds this size please download and complete the pdf form on the competition information page and email it to ansa.exec@gmail.com with your entry attached or a link to your entry hosted online.
